3D Printing in the high school math setting
I am a high school mathematics teacher in Northern Indiana. I currently teach Algebra 1 (9th graders), geometry (9th graders), and AP Calculus (12th graders). During the summer of 2013, I participated in a program at the University of Notre Dame called Research Experience for Teachers (or RET). For my summer project, I built, calibrated, and tested a Rostock Max 3D printer. Since then, I have been trying to incorporate the 3D printer into my curriculum for high school mathematics. For an overview of the summer program, please see the research poster posted below. Please read my blog to see what I have used the printer for in my classroom!
